Thermal spray powder – DG.Ni20Cr (base coat powder)
Product description
DG.Ni20Cr (primer powder) is a high-performance thermal spray powder prepared using an air atomization process. Its chemical composition primarily consists of 80% nickel (Ni) and 20% chromium (Cr). This powder is suitable for supersonic and plasma spraying processes, forming a high-strength, dense primer layer on various substrate surfaces.
The coating exhibits outstanding performance, with a bonding strength exceeding 70 MPa, a porosity below 0.8%, and a deposition efficiency of 55%–60%. The powder has a loose bulk density of approximately 4.5 g/cm³, exhibiting good flowability and transport stability. The flow rate for the 150–300 mesh size is approximately 17 seconds/50g. Depending on different spraying requirements, this material is also available in various particle sizes, including 300–400 mesh and 300–500 mesh.
This coating can operate continuously in high-temperature environments below 800℃, demonstrating excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation. In applications, DG.Ni20Cr is commonly used as a base coat for tungsten carbide or oxide ceramic coatings. It effectively enhances the adhesion between the coating and the substrate, alleviates stress generated in the ceramic layer during thermal cycling or under stress, and provides a good buffer and transition effect. Furthermore, this material is also suitable for the spraying of nickel-chromium targets, and has broad application value in surface engineering and remanufacturing.
